We don’t get people to sit on bulky machines & yell “Come on, 3 more!”. We prefer a much calmer approach, getting people on their feet, stepping, turning, shuffling, reaching, catching, leaping, throwing, bending and moving in as many different ways as possible. Our training doesn’t just focus on muscles but also includes fascia (fibrous connective tissue), your nervous system, your bones and even your skin.
The time you spend with us is 100%, all about YOU. Many of us keep waiting for life to slow down but it just seems to move faster and become busier & busier. Every aspect of your personal training session is personalised to your wants & needs. Also, many of our clients really look forward to their session with us every week because it is their time for them & no one else’s.
Certainly not. We believe variability is key to a strong & resilient body as well as an engaged mind. We will be challenging the same muscles groups week after week, but will do so in a variety of different ways, with different equipment, at different speeds & angles. Depending on the individual, initially repeating specific exercises may be necessary to learn (or relearn) unfamiliar movement patterns.
Accountability is key. Having it through us is vital. Having it with a friend who’s training with you as well, is even better! It’s easier to push yourself in your sessions as well as be disciplined outside of sessions when you have a friend doing it too.
Semi-Private & our Small Group Training sessions are some of the most fun with the ability to add more variability, games & competition. Laughing is a great core workout and we take full advantage of this.
Receive individualised programs (or joint programs for you & your buddy if you wish) for workouts in the gym &/or at home as well as corrective exercises & mobility strategies. Each program comes with easy to follow instructional videos.

We are strongest when we stand arm in arm with our friends. Having a trusted companion with you as well as the entire MHS community is a sure fire way to overcome any obstacle & continue moving forward to success.
Semi-private sessions are private sessions with multiple people (2+) meaning that only you & your friend(s) can attend. The program is also personalised to your individual needs & joint goals rather than the Small Group Training Classes, which is a set, rotating program.
Yes, absolutely! This is probably more common than you might think. Many people love the aspect of training with others & still want a personalised approach to their sessions but just don’t have anyone who is in the same place regarding their health & fitness goals. We buddy people up all the time. We have a great community of like minded people who are more than happy to meet new people & train together.
You don’t have to be exactly the same & buddying up can work with a variety of different people. Having said that, semi-private sessions work best when two people share similar goals & have similar physical abilities (strength, fitness, mobility). The best thing to do is have a trial session together so we can see first hand how well the session flows.
Every Small Group Training session is designed & lead by MHS Director & Master Coach Rob Denmark. Take advantage of his wealth of knowledge & 13+ years of experience as well as his patience & natural ability to coach you with ease in a fun & welcoming environment.
Stepping out of your comfort zone & your normal environment can be a challenge sometimes, but it can also yield the best results. Form new friendships with people who also share the same values when it comes to health & fitness.
This is our most cost-effective training option. Attend multiple Small Group Training Classes &/or combine with 1 on 1 training or Semi-Private training to get a discount & save even more!
Try one of our many different class structures including ‘Movement & Function’, ‘Boxing’ & ‘Functional Core Strength’.
Your coach will still deliver the same high quality service using our unique training system & techniques with professionalism & fun, ensuring you get the most out of every session!
One of the keys to success is to surround yourself with like minded individuals who are striving to achieve the same things. Become part of our growing community & share the journey with people who experience similar challenges as we help & encourage one another towards success.
Small Group Sessions are open to any MHS client & so you will more than likely be training with people you haven’t met before. Also, the exercises are based on the class type (e.g. – Movement & function) rather than your individual goals.
Yes, to a degree. The exercises within each class type have regressions & progressions making them achievable to multiple ability levels. However, during your initial consultation, we will discuss the most appropriate class types for you. You may need to become proficient in one class type first, before you can progress on to some of the other more challenging ones.
This can vary depending on the class type but typically the exercises will change every month. In our experience, this is a good amount of time to work on a set routine & improve on your ability to perform the exercises before we move on to the next routine which is important for variability, progression & continued enjoyment.
